Becky Milton

Becky is a PhD student in the Pixie Lab and Centre of Inflammation and Cancer Biology (CIBCI) at King’s College London. She graduated from Warwick University in 2016 with an Industrial MBio in Biochemistry. In 2020 she started her PhD as part of the Wellcome Neuro-Immune Interactions in Health and Disease PhD program. Her PhD project is part of the wider Bariatric surgery and Depression study (BARIDEP) looking at the immunometabolic links between obesity and depression. More specifically she is looking at the immune cell landscape of individuals with obesity and depression through RNAseq, flow cytometry and microscopy imaging to understand how it may be altered during depression and explore the impact this may have on individuals.
