Zuzanna Zajkowska
Dr. Zuzanna Zajkowska received her PhD in Psychological Medicine in 2017 from King’s College London. During her Ph.D. and postdoctoral career, she worked on multiple studies investigating biological and environmental risk factors for depression in adolescents and adults within the Department of Psychological Medicine, Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience at Kings College London. She currently works as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Psychoimmunometabolix and Interactions with the Environment Laboratory (PIXIE Lab) where she investigates biological, psychological, and environmental risk factors for depression in adolescents. Her research interests focus on depression from a biopsychosocial perspective, in particular the role of early life experiences and inflammatory pathways in the development of depression. Zuzanna is a regular writer and an assistant editor for the digital mental health magazine Inspire the Mind led by Prof. Carmine Pariante. She is also co-leading Immunopsychiatry meetings led by Prof. Valeria Mondelli, in collaboration with the European College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ECNP).
